Vivaldi: Dixit Dominus
Lully: La Grotte de Versailles
Lalande: De Profundis [Out of the deep]

Welcome to the pleasure palace of the Sun King, the very essence of baroque elegance and taste. Experience the sensory overload of Louis XIV's courtly entertainments and extravagant music for the Chapel Royal in the works of his illustrious composers, Lully and Lalande. Visit also sparkling Venice for the infectious music of Vivaldi, the star of his day. His choral music is now becoming better known, the Dixit Dominus being a fascinating rediscovery from as recently as 2005 and which tonight receives its Welsh premiere!
